Mr. Ferruccio Codutti was born in Udine on October 17, 1947. At the age of 15 years old, he began to work as body shop mechanic and a few years later, he started his own company. After many years of hard work, in 1985 he achieved his life dream: a trip to Africa towards Tunisia and Algeria, following the footsteps of Paris-Dakar. Ferruccio and one of his best friends arrived in the Algerian city of Tamanrasset and decided to change their course to visit the mountain range of Ahaggar, the holy place for tuareg tribe of Kel Ahaggar, in the middle of the Sahara desert. That special location became a place for meditation for Ferruccio and his friend, who among thousands of thoughts and feelings, rediscovered the value of freedom.
Back in Udine, Ferruccio left the company and in 1986 he started his own workshop garage. He was determined to realize another dream, he wanted to build custom motorbikes with unique and special features. The early years were not easy, though. Ferruccio needed to deal with metal carpentry in order to achieve the results he wanted and finally he built his first Special based on Honda Dominator. From that moment on, Ferruccio kept making custom motorbikes 100% in aluminum. His realizations started from scratch and they were entirely built within the company, starting from frames such as for the FC1 a sport prototype featuring a special front single arm. Over the years, Ferruccio Codutti developed many original technical solutions, like his special self-supporting front calipers or the retractable footboards for the passanger.
His style is devoted to futurism, his works are coneived as works of art and the FC2 with his asymmetrical shapes is a good example of it. The strengths of his works are unique design, care of the detail and highly skilled artisan tradition.
In Italy and abroad, Ferruccio Codutti is known in the motor tuning community for his futuristic works and he has received many national and international prizes and awards, joining TV shows, including “Domenica In” (RAI1). On many occasions he has been published in several famous magazines such as Cafe Racer, Mototecnica, Motociclismo and many more. In the last 20 years, Ferruccio developed two other original creations using aluminum. A series of furnishing objects and a series of sexy lingerie, used to dress promo girls.
